Tonight we visited Navy Pier's Winter Wonderland. My students went there today and had a blast so I decided Minh & I should try it. It's a great place for kids and adults to go hang out. There is an indoor ice skating rink (no we did not skate but we will soon, Minh promised me), a ferris wheel and a carasel, see pictures. A train takes you around to look at all the trees and other activities (blow up slides, cookie making stations, and so much more I have forgotten). They did have a great display of old Santas, see below. Each had a story of the country they came from and the meaning behind them along with traditions. Overall, I'd give it an A+ for a cheap, seasonal activity in Chicago for adults and kids!Next on our list is ice skating downtown! Pictures to follow after the new year, hopefully.
