New Paint

For Christmas we received some Home Depot gift cards and so we did some home improvements over the holiday week. Thanks Phillis & Jerry!
We started painting the upstairs. We painted the master bath, guest bedroom & bath. The master bath is a peachy- cream color "Only Natural". The guest bath is the same color as the upstairs hallway and the guest bed is "Brown Tepee", the same as our living room.
We still have to paint the master bedroom and downstairs half bath but we have some time. So I took pictures of whole house from the front door up.
As you can see we still need to buy some pictures and decor for the shelves.
We also baught some shelves for the garage but there are no pictures of that but there is MUCH more space in there now.

New Windows!

On the 28th, we had 8 new windows installed thanks to an early gift from Santa Duff. The temperature on top was the inside temperature when the windows were out and the middle number was the outside temp. It was snowing that day and of course there was wind! BRRRRR!

I tried to take pictures of the "open windows" while it was snowing but it did not come out as well.
We are now more warm and toasty in our home with the new windows.
Thanks Santa!

Christmas Day

Christmas Day was a quite day in Chicago. You can see our tree. The large newspaper gift was new luggage from my parents- I think they're giving us a HINT.....
The blue candy shaped gift was wrapped by Minh- it was a new hat & gloves. I like the wrapping!
He got Guitar Hero and was Boo'd off the stage several times that day. He's getting a bit better.
The last picture is of the Garmin GPS. We think this is another hint from our Atlanta family.
We fried a turkey and had a smaller version of our normal holiday foods.
The day after Christmas we got one of the greatest gifts- our apartment was sub-leased! No more rent!!!!
Hope your Christmas was a great as ours.

Our Anniversary

To celebrate our 4th Wedding Anniversary, Minh took me to Wicked. The very dark picture is the Wrigley Building with green & red lights. Wrigley Building is across the street from our favorite restaurant for thin crust pizza, Bella Bacino's where we ate dinner. We were not that hungry.
Then we went to the Oriental Threatre and saw Wicked. Now, I've never been a fan of the Wizard of Oz but this was GREAT! It was humorous how they connected the stories. Minh even enjoyed it!
When we got home we bought tickets for RENT in Feb!
